Well, the cherry blossom season is over in Japan, but you can still often see pink cherry-like flowers when you walk around town.
I found such a pink flower yesterday when I was walking around town, so I took a picture of it.
Do you know what this is?
It looks like cherry blossoms, but upon closer inspection, the flowers appear larger, round and fluffy.
This is called yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossom), which has 20 to 70 petals, compared to the 5 petals of the regular Someiyoshino cherry blossom, and is called yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossom) in contrast to the single-petaled cherry blossom of the regular cherry blossom.
The blooming season is just around this time of the year, when someiyoshino cherry blossoms start to bloom after someiyoshino cherry blossoms have fallen.

さて、日本ではさくらのシーズンは終わりましたが、今も街を歩くとピンクの桜に様な花がよく見られます。
昨日街を歩いていたらそのようなピンクの花を見つけたので写真を撮りました。
これ、なんだかわかりますか？
さくらのように見えますが、よく見ると花が大きめで丸くふんわりとして見えます。
これは八重桜といって、普通のソメイヨシノのような桜の花びらが5枚に対し、八重桜は20枚から70枚もの花びらが集まって咲いているので普通の桜の一重咲に対して八重咲というのだそうです。
開花時期はソメイヨシノが散ったころから咲き出すのでちょうど今頃になるのです。
さて、きょうの日本語学習は疑問文の基本形です。

「か」は疑問を表す不変化詞。
