People around the world see different shapes on the moon. š š§š»āāļøš In the West, many say they spot a āman in the moon.ā
š³šø In some parts of Asia, others see a toad or a tree.
Ā šš” But in Japan, itās a rabbit pounding mochi. This fluffy friend took center stage in our latest Web Cafe!
This Septemberās FREE Web CafeĀ explored everything moon-themedāfrom the beauty of the Harvest MoonĀ to the timeless folktale of Princess Kaguya, and of course, the global phenomenon Sailor Moon. We even chatted about sweet traditions like enjoying dangoĀ while moon-viewing. šš”āØ

āThe anime topics like Sailor Moon kept it fun. All the topics were engaging!ā
āIkeda-san did such a great job facilitating the breakout rooms. The slides were cute, easy to follow, and she even translated them into English so everyone could join the flow.ā
āI really enjoyed meeting native speakers and practicing listening. The mix of folktales and anime made the experience both fun and cultural.ā
One participant even suggested having short reading materials ahead of time so learners can prepare for the discussionāgreat feedback weāll keep in mind! š
