This is our first web cafe of the year!
What a fantastic way to kick off 2025 with the first DCEC web cafe! This month’s event, titled "Japan’s Winter Wonders", was nothing short of fun, informative, and highly interactive. Hosted online, the web cafe brought together participants from Nepal, Japan, and the Philippines for a vibrant discussion about Japan’s rich winter traditions and seasonal wonders.

A Global Experience with Native Japanese Speakers
The event featured native Japanese speakers who shared insights into Japan’s winter culture, including seasonal traditions, mouth-watering foods, and exciting activities that make winter in Japan so special.
The interactive nature of the web cafe made it a true cultural exchange. Participants were not only learning but also engaging by sharing their thoughts, experiences, and even questions. It was inspiring to see people from different countries exchanging ideas and discussing the wonders of winter, whether it was reminiscing about their favorite winter dishes or exploring Japan’s snow-covered landscapes.
A Fun Way to Practice Nihongo
If you're looking to practice or improve your Nihongo (Japanese), this web cafe is a perfect opportunity! Throughout the event, attendees had the chance to hear Japanese being spoken in real-life conversations and gain insights into the language in a natural setting. Plus, the mix of English and Japanese during discussions made it easier for participants of various language levels to follow along and take part. It’s a great way to enhance your language skills while having fun!
