What happens when the Japanese you hear in anime meets the Japanese people actually use in everyday life?

We found out at our latest FREE Web Cafe! 🎉

Our participants joined our Japanese hosts for a fun and interactive session all about Japanese phrases to learn... and unlearn. From iconic expressions commonly heard in anime to phrases that can sound too rude or unnatural in real-life conversations, we explored the differences together.

And of course, it wouldn’t be a Web Cafe without a mini-game! 🎮 Participants put their Japanese knowledge to the test while having fun, learning new expressions, and sharing what they already knew.

But the best part? They got to use Japanese, not just learn about it.

Through conversations, games, and plenty of sharing with our Japanese hosts, everyone had the chance to practice listening and speaking in a relaxed, immersive environment... just like Japanese learning should be. 🇯🇵✨
